Send Your Intentions to Our Lady in Papua New Guinea

Write your petition and keep watch with the people of Papua New Guinea.

When the Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima stays the night in a village in Papua New Guinea, the people sing and praise her until she leaves the next day. At Hagita High School in Alotau, the students spent three days and three nights in prayer before her. They prayed, sang and fasted the whole time.

The people of Papua New Guinea ask Our Lady to protect them from danger and turn to her for help with their daily lives. Whole communities come together to ask for her blessings, and when she travels between villages, people line the roadsides and riverbanks to greet her as she passes.

This year she began in the Highlands, in a province where fighting between tribes has left whole villages in ruins, and the people are crying out to her for an end to the bloodshed.

Since Australia Needs Fatima first brought her statue to Papua New Guinea in 2010, more than 600,000 people have taken part in its Fatima programs there and in the Pacific.

The walkabouts are under the patronage of Saint Peter To Rot, the catechist from Rakunai who was killed in 1945 for defending the sanctity of marriage. Pope Leo XIV canonised him on the 19th of October 2025 as Papua New Guinea’s first saint.

You can join your prayers to theirs. Write your intention in the form below, and offer it to Our Lady as she travels from village to village in Papua New Guinea until the 2nd of November.

At every place Our Lady visits, the people there will pray for your intentions.

At Fatima, Our Lady asked for the Rosary to be prayed every day. Please pray it for your intention, and for the people of Papua New Guinea while she is among them.

After you send your intention, you will also receive a photograph of Our Lady of Fatima by email, which you can save to your phone and keep with you as a reminder to pray for your intention and for the people of Papua New Guinea.
